Damon is currently enjoying mentoring two optometrists, through the Contact Lens Mentorship Program, which is endorsed by the CCLSA (Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia).
One of five mentors across Australia, Damon has also delivered specific sessions through the program, including a recent webinar entitled ’No Two are the Same’. The mentorship program runs for six months and involves 20 mentees who want to specialise in the fitting of contact lenses.
It is a brand-agnostic initiative with voluntary participation, and incorporates coaching sessions, individual development plans, an online community discussion forum, virtual group workshops and access to educational resources.
Damon is delighted to have the opportunity to mentor the next generation of contact lens specialists.
